FYI...Please read below before buying a kitten, Don't be scammed!
Take your time before buying a kitten a new addition to your family,
you will have for 12 to 20 years or more! Do your homework and ask questions!
#1. I have HCM testing on all my breeders. HCM is an ultrasound on a cats heart to make sure no HCM. A disease that they can pass on to their kittens, like heart murmurs. Its a very expensive test not all breeders can afford to have done.
#2. I have PRA testing for eye disease to make sure my adult breeders don't pass blindness gene to their kittens.
#3. I have PKD Deficiency test to make sure my adult breeders don't pass kidney disease to their kitten, that later can cause kidney failure.
#4. I treat all my adults for any fleas, ear mites or parasites before breeding because you can't treat them when pregnant or when nursing. Most breeders don't take time to treat their adults to assure they don't pass that on to their kittens.
Watch for Scammers!
They take your money and don't send your kitten, I know this from my own breeder friends and I hear all the time from clients. They switch kittens, and sell you sick kittens with diseases you can't see like heart murmurs, or parasites.
It can cost you more in vet bills then the cost of the kitten.
That is why I have colored collars on all my kittens to assure you are getting the very kitten you picked. I have my kittens health checked for Heart Murmurs and Parasites. I don't breed (son to mother) or (father to daughter), that is in home breeding and will cause issues you can not see.
It's hard to tell who is a scammer!
They have a website, they are tica registered, they are sweet on the phone, but are they real, are they honest?
You can't always believe what you hear, what you read or what is true.
To avoid scams, it's good to see in person,
don't be afraid to ask questions.
Most breeders do their best to watch out for those kind of scams and will keep
each other informed. If you see or hear about scammers, please report them.
When buying a kitten from a breeder, watch for:
*A website with kitten pictures but no parents showing next to them, it could be because of they don't want you to know who the parents are because of inbreeding. Inbreeding causes birth defects like heart murmurs, kinks in the tail and cleft pallets. So Beware!
*Ask: who is the sire and queen are of each kitten and make sure sire is not related in any way to queen?
*See tica papers
* See pedigree on both Breeders
*Ask to see vet health checks for heart murmurs, parasites, giardia, coccidia, runny eyes, runny stool and so much more. Look at bottom for fleas, dried stool or redness around butt.
*FYI Stud Mufasa is retired as of 2016, if shown as parent, it is not possible.
He is post to another websites that has no business being there!
I do my best to have healthy kittens by starting with my adult breeders, feeding them the best foods and nutrition, keeping up on their yearly health checks, ear mites, worms, fleas and HCM testing for healthy hearts and C-1 blood panel test for the corona virus, but sometimes my best is not always good enough. Every cattery will still have a few kittens get sick, and if so...
Return it, no questions asked.
All my kittens sell out before they are weeks old from returning clients, and clients that have seen or heard about Bengal babies. They know I'm a reliable
and a very reputable breeder.
All Queens and Studs test negative for HCM
Parents test for Felv/Fiv and health checked and vaccinated yearly
before breeding to assure kittens health and excellent bloodlines.
